WriteNow! programmer expands the device list by adding many new NXP Kinetis® L Series devices, part of the Kinetis Low Power 32-bit Microcontrollers (MCUs) based on ARM® Cortex®-M Cores.
Kinetis® L series MCUs, based on the ARM® Cortex®-M0+ core, offer ultra-low power and small size with scalable integration and ease-of-use.
The WriteNow! technology allows the programming of up to 8 devices at once, drastically reducing programming times, costs, and system complexity. In addition, the WriteNow! technology performances allow to reach the theoretical programming speed for any given device, thus shortening as much as possible the programming phase of the production process.
WriteNow! uses the standard Serial Wire Debug (SWD) as programming interface.
Algocraft provides support of NXP Kinetis family through all of its WriteNow! Series, single and parallel in-system programmers. Four models are available: WN-PRG01A (programs 1 device at a time), WN-PRG02A (programs 2 devices in parallel), WN-PRG04A (programs 4 devices in parallel), and WN-PRG08A (programs 8 devices in parallel). In addition, external demultiplexer modules are available as accessories for multiple-sites WriteNow! models, giving the flexibility to program easily up to 32 devices in a sequential way (8+8+8+8).
Thanks to the optimized WriteNow! architecture, the typical programming time for MKL17Z256 device (256KB Flash) is 9,5 seconds (erase + blank check + program + verify) – 8 devices in parallel.
