Algocraft supports the new MCX MCUs introduced by NXP
The universal in-system programmers by Algocraft (WriteNow! and µISP) now supports the new series of MCX MCUs introduced by NXP.
The MCX MCUs, based on ARM Cortex-M0+ and ARM Cortex-M33, are designed for industrial and IoT applications. They are ideal for automation, motor control, smart sensors and connected embedded systems.
MCX MCUs offer a wide scalability of performance and memory size: from “entry level” MCX C series (48 MHz, from 32 to 256 KB of Flash, designed for energy efficiency and cost effectiveness) to MCX N series (150 MHz, up to 2 MB of Flash, designed for high performance, includes NPU for machine learning applications).

The programming algorithm developed by Algocraft engineers supports the Flash programming using the SWD protocol reaching 10 MHz, the maximum SWCLK frequency supported by MCX MCUs.
The WriteNow! programming solution can program up to 8 devices in parallel and it is expandable up to 32 devices using the demultiplexer module.
The complete programming cycle time is about 6 seconds for a 2 MB MCU (MCXN947).
Algorithm’s characteristics:

Standard SWD protocol.

MCXN947 (2MB FLASH): Erase + Blank check + Program + Verify: about 6 seconds.

WriteNow! is ideal for multi-panel boards applications being able to handle up to 32 boards by using only one programming unit.
