Nordic Semiconductor nRF5340 is supported by Algocraft!
The Nordic Semiconductor nRF5340 is the world’s first wireless SoC with two Arm® Cortex®-M33 processors. The combination of two flexible processors, the advanced feature set, and an operating temperature up to 105 °C, makes it the ideal choice for LE Audio, professional lighting, advanced wearables, and other complex IoT applications.
The nRF5340 device has comprehensive wireless protocol support, including Bluetooth® 5.1 Direction Finding, Bluetooth 5 Long Range, NFC, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, and Zigbee. Nordic Semiconductor (www.nordicsemi.com) is a Norwegian fabless semiconductor company specializing in wireless communication technology that powers the Internet of Things (IoT).
The programming algorithm developed by Algocraft’s engineers implements full programming for both the high-performance application processor with dedicated 1 MB Flash and the ultra-low power network processor with dedicated 256 KB Flash. Additionally, the programming of the User Information Configuration Registers (UICR) memory area is managed for both processors.
The application also required programming variable data into the UICR area, such as the MAC Address and other specific values that differ from board to board.
The WriteNow! programming solution is ideal for these applications as it can program up to 8 devices in parallel—expandable up to 32 devices with the demultiplexer module. The programming cycle time is about 4 seconds for the 1MB memory of the application processor and approximately 1.5 seconds for the 256KB memory of the network processor.
