WriteNow! supports the new Renesas RH850/U2A Cross-Domain MCUs
This month Algocraft‘s Technical Team decided to focus on a recently introduced development: it is the support on the WriteNow! platform of a new series of MCUs dedicated to new generations of automotive applications.
RH850/U2A MCU is the first member of Renesas’ cross-domain MCUs, a new generation of automotive-control devices; it is designed to to increase the integration of multiple applications on a single chip, enabling the realization of unified electronic control units (ECUs) for the evolving electrical/electronic architecture (E/E architecture).
Algocraft has developed a programming algorithm that manages various new functionalities, including programming of FLASH areas, User Boot, Data, Configuration & Security Settings, Block Protections, and the Authentication ID-Code.
The programming protocol used is the serial asynchronous SCI, which can reach speeds of up to 10MBits/s. For a 16MB memory cut, the overall programming time, including checksum verification, is approximately 35 seconds.
